On Feb. 4, 2025, the Technology & Collaboration Committee hosted a lunch-and-learn webinar “Unlocking Effective Time Management Using Your Task Manager and Calendar” presented by Rich McEvoy and Phil Rouble and moderated by Colleen McArthur.

Take a few minutes to check out this infographic summary, “Unlock Effective Time Management created using Google’s Gemini AI Canvas feature.

For a deeper dive into the tools, review these earlier posts on the Personal Productivity Toolkit Forum:

      1. Tool No. 1 – Task Managers – How to Use Them
      2. Adding Tool No. 2 – Calendar – Unlocking Effective Time Management

Forays into AI: I used the free version of Google’s Gemini AI Canvas to create this infographic which, due to the limited free version tokens, meant I had to spread the work over 3 days.

      1. Day 1 – Approx. 30 min. – Pasted the mind map content into Google Gemini Canvas to create a draft infographic. Applied the Algonquin College colour brand to the infographic by pointing to a PDF available online
      2. Day 2 – Approx. 45 min. – Refined the content / messaging in the infographic
      3. Day 3 – Approx. 60 min. – Refined the Time Chunking / Time Blocking section using Google’s NotebookLM AI tool to help summarize the content from selected sources. Enhanced the the graphics.

Very impressive use of AI and the graphical summary is very appealing.  The steps you shared to generate your infographic are also appreciated and I hope will be the beginning of more shared uses of this cool tech!

Thanks for the feedback, Rich. You are right, the more I dabble with AI, the cooler it gets. Sharing uses is a fabulous idea!
